Once Upon a time...

Our story begins around 1930 in a small village in the municipality of San Miniato, when the Gemignani family discovered that the famous white truffle, so sought after by traders from northern Italy, could be found in the forests of the area where they lived . So they began to buy the fragrant truffles from the local truffle hunters in their small grocery store and sell them to the traders who were passing through San Miniato and were already familiar with the country's valuable fruits.

Over the years, the business has been passed down from father to son through four generations and today, with the valuable help of his family members, Filippo continues the old family craft with passion and commitment.

In the center of Tuscany lies a beautiful medieval town, rich in history, art and culture, but above all it offers visitors from all over the world a magnificent landscape on the rolling hills that surround the area.

A land rich in vineyards, olive groves, but above all it offers one of its most famous gems, a fruit as precious as it is sought after: the PRECIOUS WHITE TRUFFLE.

In this area it is not uncommon to meet experienced truffle hunters with their loyal dogs who are out searching for truffles in the forests in autumn.

The truffles

Tuscany is a very important and famous region for the production of truffles: with the precious help of dogs, the tastiest species of this valuable and rare mushroom are collected in the pristine forests of this magnificent land:

-the valuable white truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico), the Marzuolo or Bianchetto truffle (Tuber Borchii Vitt), the black summer truffle (Tuber Aestivum Vitt), the black uncinato truffle (Tuber Uncinatum Ch) and the valuable black truffle (Tuber melanosporum).
