Tenuta Lenzini

The Lenzini winery extends over 24 hectares in the foothills of Lucca, in the beautiful area of Gragnano. It is embedded in a natural amphitheater that requires its own special microclimate.

Today I, Benedetta, Franco's granddaughter, am at the helm.

Together with my husband Michele Guarino we are working to find out the origins of the wine.

Our farm has been farmed organically since 2007, and since 2010 we have been practicing biodynamic farming, which for us is the only way we have to go to preserve our land.

Our adventure began in 2007 when we began the process of converting the property to natural farming.

Now our focus is on the soil, the habitat in which plants live, feed and grow.

In the fall we started working the soil to bring vital oxygen into the soil.

Then we planted seeds to create the structure and 500 preparations to give our soil personality and create humus. The life.

In spring we spray the 501, corno silice, to stimulate photosynthesis.

Low doses of copper and sulfur and so much respect, the same we use in the cellar, during fermentation, all spontaneous, and reducing the use of sulfites.

Aging in cement, steel and second pass tonneaux, does not change the soul of our wines.
